Rock Ridge Retreat is a new gated entrance campground located in the foothills of the Cumberland Mountains in Northeast TN. Located on Stinking Creek Road (exit 144) just 4 miles from Interstate 75, our campground offers amazing amenities, safety and comfort for those who are looking for the ultimate camping experience. Although we would love to have every camper as our guests, it is important to know that we have strict rules that ALL guests must abide by. Please read our Campground Rules, Policies and Procedures below to determine if our campground is a good fit for you. Once again, we emphasize that these rules will be strictly enforced and if broken will result in additional charges and/or eviction from the campground.

Terms of Reservation

Reservations are subject to availability. A major credit card – Visa or MasterCard – is required to make a reservation. Acceptable forms of payment at check-in are cash, Visa, or MasterCard. Please call the office to inquire about other arrangements. We reserve the right to transfer your stay to another cabin or campsite but will strive to honor your original request.

Guests with existing reservations have the opportunity to renew for the same time period in the following year before any new reservations will be taken. All reservations must be made online, in person, or via phone conversation with a campground front desk employee. The same is true for cancellations and changes to existing reservations. Text messages, voicemails, and emails are not accepted for reservations, changes to reservations, or cancellations.

Event reservations require a 3-night minimum stay for cabins and RV full hook-up sites

We are happy to accommodate walk-in customers if we have availability.

Check-In & Check-Out

Rock Ridge is a gated Campground and requires a gate code to enter. In order to protect our campers, and their property, only registered guests are allowed on the premises. We do not offer day visits, parking passes, or any other service to anyone who is not a registered guests of Rock Ridge.

Late Arrivals

We will not allow arrivals after 10:00 PM EST.. Unfortunately, late arrivals cause disruption to our guests. Entry gate automatically locks at 10:00 PM EST every night. If you are arriving after office hours (5 PM EST), you must call to make arrangements to check in.

IF ARRIVING AFTER OFFICE HOURS, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET INTO YOUR CABIN OR CAMPSITE UNLESS YOU CALL THE OFFICE BEFORE WE CLOSE ON THE SCHEDULED DATE OF ARRIVAL.

Pet Policy

Dogs are allowed in the campground. Please see detailed pet rules.

Campground Terms

The camper accepts camping privileges with the understanding that he does hereby release the Campground, its officers and employees of all liability for loss or damage to property and injury to his person arising out of his use of its camping facilities, and agrees to indemnify the Campground, its officers and employees, against claims resulting from loss or damage to property or injury to the person of any member of the family or guest of the registered camper arising out of the use of its camping facilities. Camper accepts responsibility for all damages.

Campground Rules, Policies, and Procedures

Failure to comply with campground rules may result in penalty fee (up to $300) or eviction without refund. These rules are enforced!

General Rules

THESE RULES ARE STRICTLY ENFORCED!!

--No Night time riding. We expect all guests to be back to the campground by 10 PM EST. Per Campbell County, TN law, all SXS must be off the roads by dusk.

--No homemade campers/RVs. Your camper must be a registered RV when originally manufactured. Must have A bathroom and complete hookups (water, sewer, electric). You will be asked to leave if you show up trying to tent camp or sleep in an enclosed trailer and your reservation payment will be forfeited.

--4 People per RV site. Max. Immediate family is an exception. However, its $10 per night per adult when exceeding 4 adults.

--2 SXS per RV site. Max

--1 RV or 1 tow vehicle per site. Second vehicle may be allowed but must buy permit and use parking area next to bath house. Second vehicle allowance is not for friends or family to come park and ride. This is for registered guests only. Even with a second vehicle, guests must still be under 4 people per site and 2 SXS per site. Parking for additional vehicles is very limited and will be first come, first serve. Once full, vehicle will not be allowed to park on the property.

--1 vehicle and 2 SXS allowed for each cabin. If a second vehicle is necessary, a parking permit must be purchased. Parking for that vehicle will be next to the bathhouse. Extra parking is very limited and often fills up. No extra parking once the parking area is filled.

--Only registered guests allowed on the premises. No outside visitors allowed unless approved by office. Highly Enforced and we will ask you to leave if this rule is broken.

--Stay off the grass and landscaping. NO driving or parking vehicles, or SXS, on the grass at all. $200 fine will be auto charged to your credit card if this rule is broken and you will be asked to leave.

--SPEED LIMIT (all vehicles): 5mph throughout campground. We are family campground and expect this rule to be followed at all times. You will be asked to leave if you, or any one in your party, speeds through the campground. This is highly enforced!

--Place trash in dumpster located between the two barns at the front of the property.

--Responsible consumption of alcohol is permitted in the campground

--Washing RVs, vehicles or SXS. is STRICTLY PROHIBITED in the campground. There is a SXS wash station owned and operated by DTF located within a 1/4 mile of our campground on Stinking Creek Road.

--No “joy-riding” in the campground. It causes dust accumulation and makes the campground less enjoyable. Ride in and ride out as little as possible.

--NO FIREWORKS in campground!

--Firewood, fire starters, and kindling must be certified (purchased or obtained within 30 miles of the campground). Firewood can be purchased from the general store. Do not push trash in the firepits!

--Fires in designated pits/rings only – NEVER on GRASS.

Pet Policy

--Dogs are allowed in the campground but not in the cabins. This is a courtesy and a privilege so please follow these rules and guidelines when bringing your pet along:

--Please clean up after your pets and keep them leashed.

--Pets must be within line of sight at all times.

  • --Do NOT leave pet unattended without first placing him or her in a kennel.

--Continuous loud barking after 10:00pm will result in eviction campground.

--Failure to properly clean up after your pet may result in a charge of no less than $50.00 to be charged to the credit/debit card used to hold the reservation. Instances of pet charges include, but are not limited to: excess pet fur, damage to property, lingering odors, etc.

Additional Reservation Policies and Procedures

  • Guest will be held responsible for an hourly fee if late checking out:
    • Campsites - $25/hour late
    • Cabins - $40/hour late

If a guest is late checking out and the next reserved guest has arrived, remaining vehicles/trailers are subject to tow at the owner’s expense.

-Extra Parking is permitted next to the bath house. However, a Parking Permit needed and can be purchased at time of reservation or at the General Store.

Parking is very limited so please email [email protected] to confirm extra space is available. WE DO NOT ALLOW MULTIPLE VEHICLES IN THE RV CAMPSITES!

Housekeeping and Cabin Supplies

  • We charge a cleaning fee for a full cleaning at the end of your stay. If there is a need for any extra or excessive cleaning upon your departure, you will be charged a minimum of $100.00. The charge may be more depending on the nature of the mess and/or damage. You will also be responsible for the cost of any property needing to be replaced. The total amount will be determined by management and our cleaning staff. Smoking is NOT allowed in any of our cabins. We suggest removing muddy cloths/shoes before entering the cabins to avoid being charged.
  • Each deluxe rental unit is provided with a complimentary STARTER supply of bed linens, toilet tissue, trash bags, dishwashing liquid, and dishwasher detergent. We do NOT give additional supplies beyond the starter set. We do not exchange linens during your stay. Extra bed linens and additional supplies should be brought by the guest.
  • Additional supplies can be purchased at any of several local stores and grocery stores.
  • WE DO NOT PROVIDE DAILY MAID SERVICE. Bed linens are ONLY changed upon your departure. If your bed linens MUST be replaced during your stay, there is a $25.00 linen laundering fee.
  • Tipping the housekeeping staff is very much appreciated. Our staff works very hard to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
  • Each cabin is professionally treated by a licensed pest control service on a regular basis. However, you are in the mountains and may occasionally encounter wild animals and/or insects. No refunds or adjustments will be given in these instances.
Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy

100% payment is taken at the time the reservation is made. Acceptable forms of payment in credit and/or debit card. The payment is non-refundable but you may request a credit for a future stay within 1 year of the initial reservation date if notice is given at least 14 days in advance of arrival date. Not to be used on Holiday weekends.  A No Call/No Show or cancellations made within 14 days of the date of arrival will result in a cancellation fee equal to the total cost of the stay. Credits for future stays CAN NOT be used on holiday weekends.
