Duck Lake Campground is found along the southern shore of Duck Lake, located east of Glacier National Park -- 13 miles from the St Mary entrance to the park and Going-to-the-Sun Road. Duck Lake is a premier fishing location in North America attracting visitors from the United States, Canada, and Europe. Duck Lake Campground has plenty to offer from a boat launch, dock, cabin rentals to tent and RV sites all located in one of the most scenic locations in Montana.

BASIC RULES AND REGULATIONS

Each campground may set their individual rules and regulations. Please check with the campground to get a complete list of rules and regulations. Here are some general camping guidelines:

Camping

  • If you are staying at a campground, you must camp only in those places specifically provided or marked.
  • All vehicles, RVs, and trailers must be parked on your campsite or driveway. Driving or parking off road is not permitted.
  • Quiet hours may vary based on the campground, but usually are enforced between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Please be considerate of others.
  • The number of camping units per campsite varies and is set locally.

Sanitation

  • Help prevent pollution by keeping garbage, litter, and foreign substances out of lakes, streams, and other waters.
  • All garbage and litter must either be deposited in containers provided, or taken with you when you leave.

Campfires

  • Obey any restrictions on fires. Fires may be limited or prohibited at certain times.
  • Within campgrounds and other recreation areas, fires may only be built in fire rings, stoves, grills, or fireplaces provided for that purpose.
  • Be sure your fire is completely extinguished before leaving. Do not leave your fire unattended. You are responsible for keeping fires under control.

Vehicle Operation

  • Drivers must obey all traffic signs and operate their vehicles in accordance with posted regulations, and applicable Federal, State and local laws.
  • Vehicles must be parked in designated areas only.
  • Use of vehicles within campgrounds and other recreation areas is limited to entering or leaving those areas.

Fireworks

  • Use of fireworks or other explosives within campgrounds and other recreation areas is usually prohibited. Please check with individual campgrounds before use.

1. All vehicles must fill out a use permit registration envelop, including members of the Blackfeet tribe and the general public. 2. Quiet hours are from 11 PM- 6 AM. Campground gate is closed during quiet hours. Walk-in access only. 3. Pets must be on a leash and may not run unattended. Pet feces must be picked up by owners. Pets will not be left alone on grounds while owner goes boating, swimming, to town, etc. 4. Do not leave campfires unattended. 5. Absolutely no weapons allowed. 6. Do NOT cut any live vegetation or trees. Firewood for campfires is available in the Camp Store. 7. Alcohol and illegal drugs are prohibited in ALL areas of the Duck Lake Campground. 8. All vehicles, trailers, etc. are subject to search. 9. Checkout time for campers is 12PM unless registered for the night. 10. Leaving a camp unattended for a period of 24 HRS or longer is a regulations violation. 11. ATV'S are allowable, but must follow a speed limit of 10 MPH. 12. The use of fireworks is prohibited except at the Day Use Area on the fourth of July. 13. When in the Duck Lake Campground and Day Use Area, all users will abide by the established rules, regulations, and policies established for those areas. 14. The Duck Lake staff and law enforcement officials are authorized to immediately remove a person or persons that violate rules, threaten, endanger human health and safety, cause property damage or are a nuisance to others, and/or under the influence. 15. Violation of regulations may result in the immediate removal from Duck Lake Campground and the loss of privileges to enter and use Duck Lake Campground, and Day Use area in the future. 16. TRIBAL MEMBERS ONLY have the right to go berry picking. 17. Tribal Fishing permits are available at the camp store. 18. Any questions regarding fishing and/or hunting license, contact the Campground Manager. 19. If in doubt or questions arise, ask the Duck Lake Manager.

PET POLICY: 

Pets must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet when outside and may not run unattended.  Pet feces must be picked up by owners.  Pets will not be left alone on grounds while owner goes boating, swimming, hiking, to town, etc.  Tribal Campgrounds do not accept particular breeds that insurance providers have identified as having a history of aggression. 

Service dogs are welcomed, both leash and aggressive behavior rules apply. 

Good behavior is required. Dogs of any breed that are hostile or aggressive will be asked to leave the campground.  Constant barking bothers other campers. If your pet is too vocal, you'll need to find other accommodations.  The campgrounds charge an additional $3.00 per pet above the allowed 2.

Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION POLICY: 

Cancellations made prior to 30 days of check in will receive a full refund of the deposit, minus a $15.00 processing fee. The full payment is NON-REFUNDABLE to any customer who cancels in less than 30 days. Cancellation of reservations after 30-day policy will be handled on a case-by-case basis from day of check in and will be charged the FULL COST of the scheduled stay.
